Generals Biddy

The start of the Generals wrestling pathway. Two teams, picked by experience, not age.

Teams

Find your wrestler's team

There are no age groups this year. Every biddy wrestler is on one of two teams, based on experience and how much competition they want.

Beginners, any age

Generals White

The White Team is for first-year and developing wrestlers who are still building confidence and are not yet ready for the full commitment and pace of the Black Team.

  • PracticeMondays & Wednesdays, 6:45-7:45 PM
  • LocationAnthony Wayne High School wrestling room
  • Led byHead Coach Dalton Nicely (Anthony Wayne High School Wrestling)

Practices are up-tempo and focused on building a strong foundation in the fundamentals of wrestling, preparing athletes for future success within the Generals Wrestling Program.

Advanced, any age

Generals Black

The Black Team is for wrestlers of any age who have experience and want more competition in a faster-paced training environment.

  • PracticeAfter school, 3:00-4:45 PM with the junior high, probably Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (days not final yet)
  • LocationAnthony Wayne High School wrestling room
  • CoachesCoach Graff (Black team coach). Practice is run by junior high coaches Knepper and Lenix.
  • Trains withThe Junior High team

This team serves as a prep program for Junior High, giving athletes the opportunity to train alongside the Junior High team. The Black team practices with the junior high team and follows the junior high coaches' instruction (Coach Knepper and Coach Lenix). Coach Graff is the Black team's own coach.

Practicing with the junior high means wrestlers need to stay focused. The Black team is for wrestlers who want to compete and get better. If a wrestler is not focusing or is a distraction, the coaches will suggest White so the junior high can run its practice.

Can't make the after-school time? Sign up for the White team instead.
